Mwanahamisi Salimu Singano (Mishy Singano) 35 years of age, is seasoned development expert and gender activists with extensive experience in the socio-economic programing, policy advocacy and development campaigns. For more than 10 years Ms Singano has worked intensively on 1. Small scale farming - programs, advocacy and campaigns, 2. “Right to Food” – Advocacy and campaigns 3. Climate change - advocacy and campaigns, 4. Environmental Justice 5. Land and Women’s land rights - advocacy and campaigns 6. Violence against women – program, advocacy and campaigning 7. Good governance and Accountability - programs and learning. Ms Singano work on different thematic areas primarily focuses on women as both, active agents of change and beneficiaries.
In course of her carrier, Ms Singano, worked with and manage spectrum of partnerships including governments and government’s institutions, Regional institutions such as Africa Union, Africa Development Bank, East Africa Community, SADC just to mention a few, private sector, INGOs, local civil society organizations, academic/research institutions and celebrities.
Ms. Singano has proven capacity to work effectively with others. She is a natural leader and has invaluable experience in leading and organizing local, national, regional and global influencing programs. Ms. Singano is a dynamic, natural public speaker and a trained facilitator. Importantly, Ms Singano is a passionate environment and gender activist.
